At SECOR, Charles supports executives develop and implement their strategic plans. In particular, Charles’ mandates have focused on creating sustained value through growth and diversification. Charles’ clients include multinationals in the consumer products, consumer packaged goods, financial services and commodities sectors. Charles also has significant experience in the areas of new business development and acquisition and divestiture support. Prior to joining SECOR, Charles spent 8 years working for multinationals in the area of supply chain management.
Renaud Beauchesne has over 25 years of experience in consulting, management and executive positions.
Mr. Beauchesne recently joined the SECOR team as a partner and is in charge of our Quebec-City office. He is also a member of several boards and government advisory committees at the federal and provincial levels
A professional in human resources management, Richard Blain has extensive experience in operations management and finance as well. In his more than 20 years of business, he developed and implemented human resource strategies that increased the efficiency of the firms that he worked for. Mr. Blain has worked in various industries, in particular in the retail trade, the mining sector and public transport. He is known for his ability to identify challenges that companies need to face and for implementing management practices designed to increase organizational efficiency and profitability within a growing and changing environment.
Richard Blain is an expert in managing talent and developing competencies, mobilizing resources, improving work climates, diagnosing organisational problems and handling employee communications. He also has great skill in succession management, due diligence reviews, post-acquisition integration, business process reviews, work group facilitation and coaching managers.
Mr. Blain has held a fair number of executive positions in human resources management. He was Vice-President Human Resources of BouClair Inc., Réno-Dépôt Inc. and the Montreal Stock Exchange. He also filled several management and professional positions for Cambior and the STM. Mr. Blain is a Board member for Moisson Montréal and for the Ordre des conseillers en ressources humaines et en relations industrielles agréés du Québec.
Marc brings 9 years of strategy consulting and 25 years of industry experience to SECOR. He is a senior strategy consultant focusing on industry analysis and restructuring strategy and the development of business models for emerging opportunities. Marc specializes in the creation of public/private multi-stakeholder business models and the negotiation of the associated contract relationships involving domestic and/or international stakeholders. Marc’s expertise spans across several industry sectors including aerospace, utilities, health care, gaming and telecommunications. Marc has worked directly with both federal and provincial ministries, crown corporations and regulators, as well as with the private sector, municipalities, and non-profit organizations.
Prior to joining SECOR in January 2008, Marc was the principal consultant for Strategic Gaming Innovations and a manager within the strategy and transformation practice at CapGemini. While in these roles, he led the development of strategy and business innovation implementation in the charitable gaming sector for clients in Ontario, British Columbia, Quebec and Nova Scotia.
Prior to his career in strategy consulting, Marc helped develop and negotiate the international agreements defining Canada’s contribution to the International Space Station Program.
James brings 20 years of consulting experience to SECOR, having held senior roles with several leading global strategy consulting firms. James has advised clients through pre-deal strategy issues, and post-merger integration management. His clients are Canadian and global leaders of capital intensive sectors such as the resources, telecommunications and transportation industries, as well as service sectors such as information services and consumer products.
James has conducted a number of studies on behalf of government and industry groups on public policy issues such as competitiveness, industry strategy, and international trade. He has directed other public and private initiatives on economic issues such as foreign investment and globalization. Moreover, James has been a frequent speaker throughout North America in the print and television media on various topics.
Recently, James spent more than a year seconded to a Canadian-headquartered global firm as a senior advisor on strategic planning and corporate development where he was involved in pre-deal strategic work through to post-merger integration planning.
Alastair Caddick is an Associate Partner at SECOR Consulting based in Vancouver.
Alastair has fifteen years of management consulting experience and has worked across a broad range of industries including energy, telecommunications, financial services, health care and the public sector with industry leading clients in Canada, the US, and Europe.
Alastair has developed a broad and robust set of consulting skills from his experiences including: leading strategic planning efforts; conducting operational diagnostics and transformation planning for clients looking to improve their performance; leading customer strategy efforts aimed at better understanding customer needs and design strategies to better meet those needs.
Alastair started his career with Mercer Management Consulting (now Oliver Wyman) working with Fortune 500 companies across North America before spending several years in Europe consulting and advising large European based multi-nationals. Over the past 7 years, Alastair has been leading client engagements for RPO Management Consultants in British Columbia.
Alastair currently sits on the Board of the Ivey Alumni Association.
Mario-Jacques has a rich and varied career path: sales supervisor for the Hudson’s Bay Company, educator and then director of the Fashion Marketing program for LaSalle College in Montreal (Canada), he then took over management of the educational services and the Fashion Marketing program in Singapore and became General Manager in Kuala Lumpur (Malaysia). He has been living in France since 1995, where he has worked as an independent consultant, coach and trainer before joining the consulting firm of Ariade. He is French Canadian and is bilingual (English French).
Jeff joined SECOR in November 2009 and focuses on clients’ organization performance and corporate growth challenges.
Jeff brings over 10 years of management consulting experience to SECOR. At McKinsey & Company he worked on the earliest research for the War for Talent initiative, and helped clients improve performance through organization levers including organization design & development, talent management, high performing organization culture change, Human Resources functional reviews, and targeted enhancements to HR processes such as executive succession planning, incentive compensation, leadership assessment and development, and HR systems. For eight years, he was a founding leader of McKinsey’s global Growth & Innovation practice. In the latter, he helped clients kick-start, accelerate or sustain top-line-driven profitable growth by assisting leaders to define their aspirations, developing corporate and business unit growth strategies, build new businesses, and organize for growth. His clients have spanned the globe in over 20 countries, and included industries as diverse as financial services, retail, resources, communications, chemicals, pulp & paper, airlines, and automotive.
Before and following his time at McKinsey, Jeff held Human Resources roles with large corporations including Imperial Oil (EXXON), AlliedSignal (Honeywell) and American Express, culminating with Senior Vice President positions with the Vancouver 2010 Olympic and Paralympic Winter Games, and MD Financial, a $26 billion asset wealth management company targeted at Canadian physicians. His 20+ years of Human Resources experience span all disciplines including support to Board HR & Compensation committees, total rewards including executive compensation, employee & labour relations, organization development, learning & development, succession planning, executive search and recruitment, plus additional responsibilities such as volunteer programs, language services, strategic planning, and health & safety.
Madeleine Chenette is Chair of the Board of Directors of SECOR Group. Instrumental in the growth of the company where she has been managing partner and successively led its customer strategy practice, leadership and transformation practice, and innovation development. Madeleine is now the Global Lead of all intellectual capital enhancement and development for the Group. With extensive experience in three continents, she is a respected and engaging speaker for international conferences on trends and new best practices.
Madeleine compelling views of business challenges are based on extensive global research and twenty years of experience in diversified sectors such as finance, retail, resources, energy, media, telecom as well as health and tourism. Under her leadership, a unique team of savvy business people, creative strategists and executives of top organizations wake up everyday to push back frontiers and win the new market race. National and international clients from TSX listed, Fortune 500 and crown corporations look to her teams to develop their innovation and leadership capabilities.
Madeleine holds a master’s degree in business management from the École des Hautes Études Commerciales in Montreal. Before joining SECOR, she was a leader of a privately owned health-care company where she successfully merged three elderly homes and designed a totally innovative housing concept for increasing the well-being of its residents and their families.
An eclectic sportswoman, Madeleine also values community involvement and has worked on the boards of, and led pro bono strategic reflection, for the Orchestre Symphonique des jeunes de Montréal, the Women in Finance, Women at the Top, the YWCA and, in 2008, sponsored the fundraising event of Les filles électriques, a creative organization for interdisciplinary events related to poetry.
Today, Madeleine is currently the Executive Vice-president and, in August, will be President of the Board of Directors of the Canadian Club based in Montreal. She is fluent in English and French.
Christine Cherrière has more than 20 years of professional experience in human resources development, particularly with large corporations: SANOFI, an ELF subsidiary – SITA, a SUEZ subsidiary.
She has facilitated sessions on career management policy and high talent assessment with human resource executives of holding companies, and manages the recruitment and training services support function.
Philippe Collas is the Mobilization Practice Leader for SECOR and a Principal at our Montreal Office.
Philippe brings 20 years of management experience to SECOR having held different positions and senior roles within the AXA Group (Insurance and Asset Management leader). Philippe was head of staff of the IT Group and developed the IT Group’s strategic planning, group reporting, vendor relations and skills management. In addition, Philippe was Group V.P. Human Resources Development (including surveys, Corporate University management, and Top management meetings). Philippe was also CFO of AXA Millésimes (an AXA subsidiary, managing real-estate and wine production). Philippe spent more than 10 years at AXA’s head office, where he was involved in pre-merger and post-merger integration activities.
Philippe developed a corporate university for a large co-operative financial group in Canada as well as developing a mobilization survey. He has conducted more than 85 surveys in 50 different companies. Philippe is actively involved in business training and development, at Sciences Po Paris and UQAM (Université du Québec à Montréal,).
Marcel Côté is a senior partner and a co-founder of Secor.
Marcel is well-known for working closely with CEO's to develop value creating strategy at leading Canadian companies. Its 30 years of experience at Secor has given him a wide exposure to a variety of issues and several industries. He is particularly known for its strategic insights in business situations, and is associated with several major transactions and turn-around. For the past ten years, he has also been active in France, where he brings a North American perspective to strategy development, working closely with several corporations at the CEO level.
Marcel's key area of focus is strategy. In that capacity, he has assisted CEOs and their senior management team in rethinking their strategy and unleashing new ways of approaching their business strategy. He is also increasingly taking an interest in change management strategy to boost the organizational effectiveness of large enterprises. Marcel has extensive experience in working with task forces made of both managers and consultants working on strategic projects. He has been particularly active in basic industries, finance, retailing, media and telecommunications. In recent years,Marcel has also been advising clients in France, bringing an North American perspective to their strategy issues
Over its career, Marcel has also been involved in the public policy arena. An economist by training, he has worked as a senior aide in both the Prime Minister Office in Ottawa and the Premier Office in Québec City. He has sat on the Boards of various public policy Think Tanks and has presided the Board of the Public Policy Forum. He is a frequent commentator on public policy issues, with a special in interest on growth, innovation and productivity and on Québec issues. For the past 15 years, Marcel has also written the back page column in the Canadian Institute of Chartered Accountants' monthly magazine.
André COUPET is an expert in helping executive management teams looking to focus on customer relations to differentiate themselves in the market and in helping corporations develop customer relations cultures: from measuring mobilization toward customer relations to aligning the organization and its functions with the customer relations culture.
André holds a bachelor’s degree in economics from the University of Paris as well as a master’s degree in business administration from the University of Sherbrooke.

With over 20 years of management consulting experience, Graeme specializes in the industrial products and manufacturing, automotive and financial services industries. He has deep experience in developing and implementing organic growth strategies, conceiving and executing acquisition strategies, and implementing complex change management programs. He also has significant experience in advising the owners of start-ups in the renewable energy and solar power sectors.
Carole Deniger has over 15 years' experience carrying out strategic analyses for major clients in the culture, communications, media and entertainment industries. She works closely with top executives of several majors firms, primarily identifying major strategic issues and developing growth-enhancing and value-creating business models.

In the course of his duties he helped a large number of companies deal with transformational and leadership issues. Claude is an experienced facilitator, conference speaker and consultant. Keenly interested in the development potential of human dynamics, Claude has centred his professional practice on people, culture and strategy. He has developed a real knack for guiding executive teams through complex transformation issues.
Alain Dumas is an expert in business strategy and business plan development and follow-up. He is managing partner of SECOR's Quebec offices and is in charge of finance and administration for SECOR as well as being on its board of directors.
Alain Dumas has more than 15 years of experience in business accounting, auditing, consultation and administration. This experience has given him a solid background in various fields such as diagnostic analyses, business strategies, turnaround and business plans, scorecards, financial modeling and budgetary processes.
He regularly advises top corporate and institutional executives on major issues, business processes, and implementation of their action plans at both the organizational and financial level.
Before joining SECOR, Alain Dumas distinguished himself as audit manager at KPMG where he was involved in several mandates to turn companies around and handle their public share offerings while dealing with other major auditing mandates at the same time. He was also director and comptroller of the Montreal Stock Exchange.
Philippe Frizon is an Associate Principal in SECOR’s Montreal Office.
With SECOR since 1999, Philippe advises executives on strategy, to support their growth projects and their strategic planning. He has also conducted a number of projects implementing new strategic directions and driving major change.
Over the years, Philippe has acquired extensive experience in the financial services and media and telecommunications fields, both in Europe and in Canada. He has also guided many clients in the manufacturing, transportation and real estate sectors.
Over the past few years, he has been in charge of developing SECOR’s strategy practice, and from 2004 to 2007, he contributed to the growth of SECOR’s operations in Paris.
Before joining SECOR, Philippe worked for SNC-Lavalin in Montréal on developing projects in Canada and internationally, for an agrochemical company in West Africa, as well as for Danone in Paris.
David Griller is an expert in technology and innovation and has a passion for life sciences. His clients range from major pharmaceutical companies to small biotechnology firms involved in drug discovery and diagnostics. David works with them on broad strategic issues as well as operational challenges. He also works with the public sector providing advice on policy and technology trends.
David has a Ph.D. in Chemistry from University College London and is a fellow of both the Royal Society of Canada and the Canadian Institute of Chemistry. David spent half his career as a research chemist at the National Research Council of Canada and the other half in business. He has worked in management, strategic planning, and consulting with Plastic Constructions Inc. Deloitte Haskins and Sells, and KPMG.
Paul Hiom is the Managing Partner of the Vancouver Office.
Paul brings over 15 years of consulting experience to SECOR, having previously founded RPO Management Consultants. He has significant experience working with a wide variety of clients, with extensive focus in government, insurance, health care, transportation and telecommunications.
Paul specializes in business and technology transformation including strategic outsourcing and enterprise technology acquisition. Paul focuses on opportunities to work with clients seeking to drive successful organization change through operations streamlining and enabling technologies. He brings extensive experience with program structuring and guidance for joint-disciplinary teams drawn from multiple organizations. In addition, he has led business case development and software acquisition for multiple clients.
Prior to his consulting career, Paul was a co-founder of the Centre for Operations Excellence at UBC, an applied research organization in the field of Operations Research. Paul also holds a graduate degree in Management Science and an undergraduate degree in Information Technology from the University of British Columbia in Vancouver. While pursuing his graduate degree, Paul conducted original research in the application of probabilistic models and simulation to achieve significant service and cost improvements for large inbound call centres.
Stephen has over fifteen years of management consulting experience, for much of which he has led large-scale strategy and business transformation projects. Stephen has a broad base of project experience with public and private sector clients with a focus on the health and financial sectors. He works closely with senior executives to develop clarity and new insight for business strategy through first principles thinking and robust, comprehensive analytics. Prior to Secor, Stephen was a founding partner of RPO Management Consultants, a leading national consultancy; and a co-founder of the Centre for Operations Excellence (COE), a strategic partnership between the University of British Columbia and a number of leading North American businesses.
Kathy brings over ten years of consulting and industry experience. She is a senior strategy consultant specializing in business strategy, transformation, customer experience and new market entry strategy. Kathy has worked with clients across multiple sectors in developing growth strategies and capitalizing on new business opportunities. She has also worked closely with organizations in planning and implementing major transformational programs that have resulted in significant improvement in business results.
Kathy has extensive experience in program management, leadership and communications. She brings a collaborative approach in working with clients, demonstrated through her work in facilitating strategic sessions with Board of Directors, Senior Management, and Project Teams. In designing and implementing transformation, Kathy integrates people, process and technology methodologies, combining both strong quantitative analysis with qualitative facilitation techniques to achieve outstanding delivery and results.
Prior to joining SECOR, Kathy was the Strategy and Transformation Consulting Leader at Capgemini Consulting, formerly Ernst & Young Consulting. In addition to Strategy and Transformation, Kathy is known for her ground-breaking work on customer experience, where she assisted clients in designing new business models to differentiate themselves in the marketplace.
Nancy Kaplan focuses on advising executives at domestic and global companies on issues related to business strategy. She has worked extensively in the areas of Post Merger Integration, innovation and commercialization, strategic and tactical marketing, customer-centricity, and enterprise-wide transformation. She has particular expertise in communications and media, including mobility, fixed line, and satellite.
Ms. Kaplan has led numerous engagements. As examples, she led the PMI work for the integration of the Enterprise businesses in the recent merger of two global telecommunications companies. She recently directed the strategy development and execution for the Small-Medium Business segment for a major telco. Changes to segmentation, product, channel and on-line strategies and capabilities were targeted to drive a minimum of $500M in revenue lift annually. Ms. Kapaln also led the go-to-market strategy and business model definition for a $1B integrated satellite-terrestrial start-up. The results helped to drive follow-on funding of $300M and save over $600M in capital expenditures.
Ms. Kaplan earned a B.A., magna cum laude, from Yale University and an MBA from the Stanford Graduate School of Business.
With more than ten years experience as a consultant, Mélanie Kfoury is an expert in strategy and business planning, market analysis, and sectoral and economic studies.
Her analyses of complex issues enable management teams to agree on a policy direction that yields action strategies. She also carries out strategic industrial and sectoral analyses and assists top management of high-technology companies in deciding upon directions to take.
Before joining SECOR, Mélanie Kfoury worked for two years as an analyst at Accenture.
Ms. L’Heureux has been working as a consultant in strategic business alignment since 1994, both for the public and private sectors, in Quebec and the rest of Canada.
Since joining SECOR Consulting in 1997, she has been actively involved with many organizations wishing to plan and implement transformations in order to better answer their strategic issues: post-merger integration, customer experience re-invention (internal and external), organization design, and performance management.
Ms. Laurent is well known in the Quebec-City region, in the technology and corporate financing sectors. She was President and CEO of the Société Innovatech Québec from 1998 to 2008, after which she was appointed Director of Investment and Economic Development in the Office of the Mayor of Québec. At SECOR, she will primarily be advising technological firms in the Quebec-City region with respect to their development, financing and expansion plans and will assist SECOR’s professional staff in innovation and growth projects.
Joshua Lawson is an Associate Principal for SECOR in the Toronto Office.
Josh is a senior strategy and operations advisor with over 10 years of consulting and industry experience. He has worked in numerous industries with global and national clients in the retail, consumer and packaged goods, high tech and pharmaceutical industries. His expertise includes strategy development, organizational transformation, complex program management and performance management.
Josh’s primary focus for the past five years has been on health system strategy development and deployment. He has worked on client engagements involving the highest levels of system leadership (payer and provider) as well as at major care settings including primary care, large and small community hospitals, academic health science centers and emergency departments.
Josh has worked with clients to develop and deploy strategies to optimize the use of health human resources, design and implement eHealth solutions, manage and reduce wait times for critical services, develop long-term capital investment strategies and negotiate and implement complex, multi-party agreements.
Josh has significant experience working with clients in the US, Canada, France and the United Kingdom.
Jocelyn brings 20 years experience with business transformation. He guides and supports executive teams when they must transform their organizational model and their processes, where executive alignment and strategic change management are typically critical to the success of the transformation.
He has led transformation initiatives in support to different business strategies: adapting organization structure and governance to improve effectiveness, ensuring organizational and cultural integration following an acquisition, aligning foreign operations to support rapid expansion, reducing costs at support functions and implementing new technology enabled processes and organization.

Miles brings over fourteen years of management consulting experience to SECOR. Miles is a highly regarded consultant to the telecommunications and related industries, with extensive international experience, having advised senior executives in North America, Asia and Europe. His clients are leading wireless operators, fixed-line operators, handset manufacturers, wireless platform providers, multinational corporations and government.
Miles was previously a Vice President at CSMG ADVENTIS, a leading provider of strategy consulting services focused on the communications, media and entertainment industries. In addition, Miles was a Vice President in A.T. Kearney's Communications and High Technology Practice in U.S. and Asia, where he focused on serving leading companies in the wireless and related sectors.
Miles also served as a communications subject matter expert to finance, investment companies and start-ups. Miles has been quoted by major US newspapers and trade magazines such as Wall Street Journal, New York Times.
Pierre Lefebvre has over twenty years experience in consulting, transactions, and management, primarily in the fields of finance and infrastructures, in both the private and public sectors.
He was the first CEO of the Agence des partenariats public-privé du Québec, now called Infrastructure Québec. He set up and then managed this new provincial agency of over thirty employees. The agency was involved in more than $8B worth of projects in transportation, health and culture and received several national and international prizes.
Mr. Lefebvre was a leading figure in most of the province’s major infrastructure projects undertaken over the last few years and was a key player in creating Quebec’s recent policy framework on governance for major public infrastructure projects.
Mr. Lefebvre’s previous experience was primarily in project and corporate financing for Nortel Networks in Toronto, Paris and London and at Price WaterhouseCoopers in Toronto. He also practiced corporate law at Fasken Martineau in Montreal at the beginning of his career.
Philippe started his career for a large financial institution for which he became Senior manager, Human resources development. He started his management consulting career with a large Canadian firm where he became Head of the Human Resources and Compensation practice. When it eventually merged with a leading international consulting firm, as partner in their Corporate Consulting group, Philippe directed reorganization and change initiatives in numerous large Canadian companies.
At SECOR, he helps North American and European companies in either growth & development, merger (post-merger integration) & acquisition (due diligence), and / or strategic repositioning situations.
Doron Melnick is an Associate Principal for SECOR in the Toronto Office.
Doron is a senior strategy and operations consultant with over ten years of experience advising clients in the private and public sectors, including government, healthcare, telecommunications and information technology. His expertise spans the areas of strategic planning, business transformation and performance management.
Doron’s consulting approach is highly collaborative. He makes the most of information and ideas inside a client’s organization, in combination with original research and analysis, to design tailored solutions which are widely supported by stakeholder groups. He also works closely with clients to ensure that planned solutions become reality, from policy and funding approvals through to implementation planning and execution.
Doron has conducted a number of studies on behalf of government on public policy issues such as public service modernization, climate change and healthcare funding.
Before joining SECOR, Doron worked with a global provider of customer experience solutions to the telecom industry, as well as companies in energy services and commercial property management.
Jean-Yves Ménard is an expert in M&A, strategy, marketing and international sales.
He developed extensive skills working in consulting, ranging from diagnoses, action plans, strategic analyses, to merger and acquisition strategies. He has carried out numerous strategic repositioning, marketing and business-plan mandates. Mr. Menard has extensive experience in various fields: cutting-edge technologies, consumer products, distribution, food processing, and the aeronautics and tourist industries.
During his career, Jean-Yves Ménard has held senior positions such as vice-president of sales and development of international business for Systèmes Proxima, president and CEO of Polyquip, and vice-president of sales for AVS Technologies. He also held several senior management positions at Air Canada, the last being first vice-president of sales and operations for Air Canada Vacations.
Françoise POLI manages PERSONA’s team of consultant-coaches. She has extensive experience in human resources acquired in French and international corporations as DHR and DHR Group, within which she guided change and development projects (DUN & BRADSTREET - ICI (pharmaceutical chemistry) XEROX - SODIAAL
After an initial experience in the general management of a consulting firm, Françoise created her own company and then joined SECOR in 2007
Louis brings over fifteen years of strategy consulting experience and five years of industry experience to SECOR. He specializes primarily in financial services in which he works with senior management on issues related to corporate strategy. Louis focuses on assisting banks, insurance companies and other wealth management firms in identifying growth opportunities, improving operations, managing change and ultimately realizing the benefits of these initiatives.
Previously, Louis was an Associate Partner at IBM’s Global Business Solutions, in the financial services practice. Louis is known for his dedication to his clients’ success; this commitment has led to longstanding client relationships, primarily in financial services.
Christian Roy is an expert in innovation studies and strategies.
With over 10 years’ experience in consulting and management, he designs performance indicators and measuring tools that are based on a company’s industrial, strategic and innovation practices. These tools are used to develop relevant action plans to foster company growth or regional economic development. At the international level, Christian Roy has worked on exports, industrial clusters and collaboration between research institutes and industry.
Over the course of his career, he worked as strategic advisor to various companies and institutions. He was also in charge of the first Quebec regional support program for innovation in manufacturing, and carried out its implementation at the participating firms’ executive levels. He was also mandated by the Canadian Plastics Industry Association (ACIP), the NRC-IRAP, Economic Development Canada (EDC) and the Ministère du Développement économique de l’Innovation et de l’Exportation (MDEIE) to develop an approach using benchmarking as part of strategic planning for SME. He has always worked closely with CEGEPs and universities regarding research support and program management. At the international level, he has worked in exports and in European research exchange programs, specifically with the University of Strasbourg.
Yves Roy is the President and Chief Executive Officer of SECOR.
Yves Roy was appointed CEO of SECOR Consulting in June 2007. He has twenty-five years of experience in the consulting field in deployments across the world, advising companies of all sizes. Posted previously in Canada (Montréal), the US (New York and Chicago), Europe (Paris) and Latin-America (Sao Paolo), he has helped manage, acquire and divest of companies in each of these regions. He has also led a mid-size Quebec-based company in manufacturing and distribution of building materials.

After more than 20 years of experience in both functional and operational management posts in international contexts and at times of considerable change (Keolis, Framatome RT, Gaz de France), Françoise acquired the conviction that the orchestration of enterprises is successful under certain conditions. Thus, after having occupied positions on executive committees, fully conscious of the difficulty experienced by actors in converging, notably on the way to successfully define the means of attaining strategic objectives, decompartmentalising and cooperating, she decided to join the consultancy in supporting change within executive boards. Following an experience at Oliver Wyman where she supported reorganization projects at every level, she joined Secor in Paris as Managing Partner for activity.
Jean-Pierre Sablé is a partner of SECOR Consulting.
Jean-Pierre's business career spans over 20 years with a clear international footprint (Paris, Montreal and New York). While most of it as a consultant, he also spent several years with vice-president positions in Product Management, Marketing and Customer Services.
Jean-Pierre specializes in working with senior executives of global firms to address their key strategic issues. His unique mix of industry experience, global perspective and change management skills delivers measurable value to clients.
Jean-Pierre's experience is recognized in financial services as he has been a frequent advisor to major players in Europe and North America in the areas of Personal banking and Wealth Management. He also has a depth of experience in utilities, aerospace and information technology sectors. Jean-Pierre's key area of focus is growth strategy, organizational alignment and information technology strategy.
Ken Smith is one of Canada’s most experienced strategy consultants. He has practiced for 24 years, beginning with McKinsey & Company and now with SECOR Consulting, and his work on a range of important business and public policy issues is known and respected in government and in the business community. Throughout his consulting career, he has led the growth and development of new offices and practices. In particular, he was instrumental in developing SECOR from its Quebec base to Canada’s leading strategy consultancy and was ultimately elected Chair of the firm. He is now dedicated full time to client service.
Ken is a recognized expert in industry restructuring, mergers and partnerships. He has published several articles relating to the corporate governance and public policy issues associated with global industry restructuring and international mergers and acquisitions, including his most recent article “Losing (Ownership) Control” in the Harvard Business Review. Earlier, he established and published the first shareholder value based metric of merger success which is now broadly used in the industry, and introduced the application of real options to acquisitions in restructuring industries. His work has been referenced in several books and many of the leading business periodicals around the world.
His client work is focused on the business and public policy issues related to corporate strategy and industry restructuring. Most recently, he has written on the systemic risk issues behind the US financial industry crisis and advised US financial institutions and regulators. In Canada, his work on global industry restructuring helped draw attention to the issues that led to the 2008 federal review of Canadian competitiveness policy. His work on financial services competitiveness, global bancassurance, global nuclear industry restructuring and on the medical isotope crisis is also well known in each of the respective industries and government.
Ken is also active on a volunteer basis in the business and not-for-profit communities. He is the Chair of the Ontario Chapter of the Institute of Corporate Directors, one of the largest and most active associations for directors in North America. He is on the Board of the Arthritis Society and is a member of the Steering Committee for Financial Literacy. He is also active in US Chamber of Commerce and is a member of the (US) National Association of Corporate Directors, The Toronto Club, the Economic Club of New York and the University Club of Toronto.
After many years in consultancy focused on the economic issues of states/regions and the problems of industrial restructuring, Isabelle turned towards company consultancy. This dual approach, macro then micro economic allowed her to support leadership teams and colleagues in enterprises in developing perspectives relating to both the internal and external challenges of the enterprise.
For 10 years now she has supported the reorganization of such enterprises as France Telecom/Orange, EDF, Roche Pharma and Nouvelles Frontières at some key moments in their history: regulation, change of brand and so on.
Isabelle acquired the conviction that the success of a strategy depends on the ability of a leadership team to share its vision and build with the managers an internal context favourable to its implementation and the mobilization of its teams.
Isabelle is a graduate of ESSEC and joined SECOR at the end of 2008 after 10 years at the office of Izsak Grapin et Associés.
Ms. Stock joined SECOR in 1997, as a strategy consultant. Today she is a specialist with SECOR’s client strategy practice, having developed a unique expertise in helping her clients develop a culture of partnerships as a business enhancement tool. A highly motivated and skilful team player, Oona Stock has developed a solid relationship with her clients who count on her support in long-term projects driving major change.
In 2005, in 2005, she created an event design practice called SECOR Events which she continues to run and developed the firm's Communications and Marketing Department, which she has been directing for the last seven years.
Oona has a master’s in management (human resources) and a bachelor’s in administration (industrial relations). Ms. Stock is a member of the Board of Directors of Ville-Marie Social Services.
David Waldron is a Partner in our Montreal office. He specializes in strategy and risk management for natural resource and complex industrial businesses.
David has spent 18 years helping executive teams form and implement strategies. He started his career advising governments in Alberta on regional economic development. The wide exposure to public sector industrial development issues helped David create a unique and comprehensive strategy practice for multifaceted enterprises. His mandates focus on creating value for businesses by helping them design an appropriate strategy, and ensuring the executive team can and will implement the strategy and then properly manage any corollary risks.
David has consulted for many Canadian based multinational companies in mining, metals and forestry. Beyond commodities, David also works with global sporting goods manufacturing operations, major rail transport equipment manufacturers and aerospace companies in North America and Europe. Since making management risk part of SECOR’s strategy services, David has also had the opportunity to work with leading insurance and re-insurance companies in Canada and abroad.
Though currently based in North America, David was based in our European headquarters in Paris from 2003 to 2004.
Lisa is an Associate Principal for SECOR in the Toronto Office.
Lisa is a senior strategy consultant with over eight years of consulting experience in strategic planning & analysis, growth option development & evaluation, analytical problem solving and large-scale project management. She has advised major Canadian corporations across multiple sectors, including media & telecommunications, financial services, retail, and the public sector. Lisa is also a recognized researcher in the area of merger & acquisition effectiveness.
Before joining SECOR, Lisa's experience included corporate strategy development and implementation for the global consulting firms of CapGemini and Ernst & Young, as well as work with the Ministry of Finance and the Ministry of Health & Long-Term Care in Ontario.

A professional in human resources management, Richard Blain has extensive experience in operations management and finance as well. In his more than 20 years of business, he developed and implemented human resource strategies that increased the efficiency of the firms that he worked for. Mr. Blain has worked in various industries, in particular in the retail trade, the mining sector and public transport. He is known for his ability to identify challenges that companies need to face and for implementing management practices designed to increase organizational efficiency and profitability within a growing and changing environment.

James brings 20 years of consulting experience to SECOR, having held senior roles with several leading global strategy consulting firms. Philippe Collas is the Mobilization Practice Leader for SECOR and a Principal at our Montreal Office.
Philippe brings 20 years of management experience to SECOR having held different positions and senior roles within the AXA Group (Insurance and Asset Management leader). Philippe was head of staff of the IT Group and developed the IT Group’s strategic planning, group reporting, vendor relations and skills management. In addition, Philippe was Group V.P. Human Resources Development (including surveys, Corporate University management, and Top management meetings). Philippe was also CFO of AXA Millésimes (an AXA subsidiary, managing real-estate and wine production). Philippe spent more than 10 years at AXA’s head office, where he was involved in pre-merger and post-merger integration activities.
Philippe developed a corporate university for a large co-operative financial group in Canada as well as developing a mobilization survey. He has conducted more than 85 surveys in 50 different companies. Philippe is actively involved in business training and development, at Sciences Po Paris and UQAM (Université du Québec à Montréal,).

Marcel Côté is a senior partner and a co-founder of Secor.
Marcel is well-known for working closely with CEO's to develop value creating strategy at leading Canadian companies. Its 30 years of experience at Secor has given him a wide exposure to a variety of issues and several industries. He is particularly known for its strategic insights in business situations, and is associated with several major transactions and turn-around. For the past ten years, he has also been active in France, where he brings a North American perspective to strategy development, working closely with several corporations at the CEO level.
Marcel's key area of focus is strategy. In that capacity, he has assisted CEOs and their senior management team in rethinking their strategy and unleashing new ways of approaching their business strategy. He is also increasingly taking an interest in change management strategy to boost the organizational effectiveness of large enterprises. Marcel has extensive experience in working with task forces made of both managers and consultants working on strategic projects. He has been particularly active in basic industries, finance, retailing, media and telecommunications. Nancy Kaplan focuses on advising executives at domestic and global companies on issues related to business strategy. She has worked extensively in the areas of Post Merger Integration, innovation and commercialization, strategic and tactical marketing, customer-centricity, and enterprise-wide transformation. She has particular expertise in communications and media, including mobility, fixed line, and satellite.
Ms. Kaplan has led numerous engagements. As examples, she led the PMI work for the integration of the Enterprise businesses in the recent merger of two global telecommunications companies. She recently directed the strategy development and execution for the Small-Medium Business segment for a major telco. Changes to segmentation, product, channel and on-line strategies and capabilities were targeted to drive a minimum of $500M in revenue lift annually. Ms. Kapaln also led the go-to-market strategy and business model definition for a $1B integrated satellite-terrestrial start-up. Pierre Lefebvre has over twenty years experience in consulting, transactions, and management, primarily in the fields of finance and infrastructures, in both the private and public sectors.
He was the first CEO of the Agence des partenariats public-privé du Québec, now called Infrastructure Québec. He set up and then managed this new provincial agency of over thirty employees. The agency was involved in more than $8B worth of projects in transportation, health and culture and received several national and international prizes.
Mr. Lefebvre was a leading figure in most of the province’s major infrastructure projects undertaken over the last few years and was a key player in creating Quebec’s recent policy framework on governance for major public infrastructure projects.

Ken Smith is one of Canada’s most experienced strategy consultants. He has practiced for 24 years, beginning with McKinsey & Company and now with SECOR Consulting, and his work on a range of important business and public policy issues is known and respected in government and in the business community. Throughout his consulting career, he has led the growth and development of new offices and practices. In particular, he was instrumental in developing SECOR from its Quebec base to Canada’s leading strategy consultancy and was ultimately elected Chair of the firm. He is now dedicated full time to client service.
Ken is a recognized expert in industry restructuring, mergers and partnerships. He has published several articles relating to the corporate governance and public policy issues associated with global industry restructuring and international mergers and acquisitions, including his most recent article “Losing (Ownership) Control” in the Harvard Business Review. Earlier, he established and published the first shareholder value based metric of merger success which is now broadly used in the industry, and introduced the application of real options to acquisitions in restructuring industries. His work has been referenced in several books and many of the leading business periodicals around the world.
His client work is focused on the business and public policy issues related to corporate strategy and industry restructuring. Most recently, he has written on the systemic risk issues behind the US financial industry crisis and advised US financial institutions and regulators. After many years in consultancy focused on the economic issues of states/regions and the problems of industrial restructuring, Isabelle turned towards company consultancy. This dual approach, macro then micro economic allowed her to support leadership teams and colleagues in enterprises in developing perspectives relating to both the internal and external challenges of the enterprise.
For 10 years now she has supported the reorganization of such enterprises as France Telecom/Orange, EDF, Roche Pharma and Nouvelles Frontières at some key moments in their history: regulation, change of brand and so on.
Isabelle acquired the conviction that the success of a strategy depends on the ability of a leadership team to share its vision and build with the managers an internal context favourable to its implementation and the mobilization of its teams.
Isabelle is a graduate of ESSEC and joined SECOR at the end of 2008 after 10 years at the office of Izsak Grapin et Associés.
Ms. Stock joined SECOR in 1997, as a strategy consultant. Today she is a specialist with SECOR’s client strategy practice, having developed a unique expertise in helping her clients develop a culture of partnerships as a business enhancement tool. A highly motivated and skilful team player, Oona Stock has developed a solid relationship with her clients who count on her support in long-term projects driving major change.
In 2005, in 2005, she created an event design practice called SECOR Events which she continues to run and developed the firm's Communications and Marketing Department, which she has been directing for the last seven years.
Oona has a master’s in management (human resources) and a bachelor’s in administration (industrial relations). Ms. Stock is a member of the Board of Directors of Ville-Marie Social Services.

David Waldron is a Partner in our Montreal office. He specializes in strategy and risk management for natural resource and complex industrial businesses.
David has spent 18 years helping executive teams form and implement strategies. He started his career advising governments in Alberta on regional economic development. The wide exposure to public sector industrial development issues helped David create a unique and comprehensive strategy practice for multifaceted enterprises. His mandates focus on creating value for businesses by helping them design an appropriate strategy, and ensuring the executive team can and will implement the strategy and then properly manage any corollary risks.
David has consulted for many Canadian based multinational companies in mining, metals and forestry. Beyond commodities, David also works with global sporting goods manufacturing operations, major rail transport equipment manufacturers and aerospace companies in North America and Europe. Since making management risk part of SECOR’s strategy services, David has also had the opportunity to work with leading insurance and re-insurance companies in Canada and abroad.
Though currently based in North America, David was based in our European headquarters in Paris from 2003 to 2004.

Lisa is a senior strategy consultant with over eight years of consulting experience in strategic planning & analysis, growth option development & evaluation, analytical problem solving and large-scale project management. She has advised major Canadian corporations across multiple sectors, including media & telecommunications, financial services, retail, and the public sector. Lisa is also a recognized researcher in the area of merger & acquisition effectiveness.
Before joining SECOR, Lisa's experience included corporate strategy development and implementation for the global consulting firms of CapGemini and Ernst & Young, as well as work with the Ministry of Finance and the Ministry of Health & Long-Term Care in Ontario.

Bio
Marc brings 9 years of strategy consulting and 25 years of industry experience to SECOR. He is a senior strategy consultant focusing on industry analysis and restructuring strategy and the development of business models for emerging opportunities. Marc specializes in the creation of public/private multi-stakeholder business models and the negotiation of the associated contract relationships involving domestic and/or international stakeholders. Marc’s expertise spans across several industry sectors including aerospace, utilities, health care, gaming and telecommunications. Marc has worked directly with both federal and provincial ministries, crown corporations and regulators, as well as with the private sector, municipalities, and non-profit organizations.
Prior to joining SECOR in January 2008, Marc was the principal consultant for Strategic Gaming Innovations and a manager within the strategy and transformation practice at CapGemini. While in these roles, he led the development of strategy and business innovation implementation in the charitable gaming sector for clients in Ontario, British Columbia, Quebec and Nova Scotia.
Prior to his career in strategy consulting, Marc helped develop and negotiate the international agreements defining Canada’s contribution to the International Space Station Program.

Christine Cherrière has more than 20 years of professional experience in human resources development, particularly with large corporations: SANOFI, an ELF subsidiary – SITA, a SUEZ subsidiary.
She has facilitated sessions on career management policy and high talent assessment with human resource executives of holding companies, and manages the recruitment and training services support function.

Christine Cherrière is an expert in evaluation and has managed the in-house operations of the assessment and evaluation centres for managers and senior executives.

Philippe Frizon is an Associate Principal in SECOR’s Montreal Office.
With SECOR since 1999, Philippe advises executives on strategy, to support their growth projects and their strategic planning. He has also conducted a number of projects implementing new strategic directions and driving major change.
Over the years, Philippe has acquired extensive experience in the financial services and media and telecommunications fields, both in Europe and in Canada. He has also guided many clients in the manufacturing, transportation and real estate sectors.
Over the past few years, he has been in charge of developing SECOR’s strategy practice, and from 2004 to 2007, he contributed to the growth of SECOR’s operations in Paris.
Before joining SECOR, Philippe worked for SNC-Lavalin in Montréal on developing projects in Canada and internationally, for an agrochemical company in West Africa, as well as for Danone in Paris.
