Do I need to be bilingual to work at SECOR Consulting?
In Toronto and New York, our work is primarily in English; professionals do not need to be bilingual to work in these offices. However, should you be interested, there are systems in place to facilitate improving your second language, as being bilingual may offer opportunities to travel to other locations and work with a more diverse group of clients. We have several clients in Montreal whose working language is French and bilingualism is required to work in this office.
How much travel is involved?
The travel at SECOR Consulting is minimal, between 5-10% annually. There is opportunity to travel throughout Canada, the US, and Europe; however, this is dependent on the project.
What are the hours of work per week?
In consulting, there is no such thing as a typical work week. While we do not profess to be a "nine to five" environment, we try to ensure that our professionals can accommodate a balanced lifestyle. In comparison to other major consultancies, many have found our hours are quite reasonable and flexible.
If my school is not listed in SECOR on-campus recruiting program, can I still apply?
Absolutely! We are unable to attend all campus recruitment events, but do encourage you to apply using our online application. Also, should you have any general question regarding recruiting, you can send an email to the person in charge in each of our offices:
