At SECOR Consulting, each professional is responsible for the direction of his/her own career; there are no limits to achievement.
The work we do will allow you to:
Challenge yourself. SECOR Consulting will expose you to significant and real strategic issues facing top executives. Our work is generally in small teams, so you will be expected to manage your own work and contribute significantly to the final deliverable, as well as interact regularly with the client.
Make an impact. As a growing firm, SECOR Consulting creates the opportunity for you to contribute to the development of our practice.
Be part of something significant. SECOR Consulting has incredibly talented and diverse individuals – you will work, learn, socialize and enjoy being part of a distinctive team.
Professional Development
We believe in on-the-job training as the most effective form of training. It creates the opportunity for each individual to learn quickly and identify those areas that they both need and want to develop further. However, we do provide a number of other learning opportunities.
Orientation
Every new consultant and analyst participates in a week-long training program during their first week at SECOR Consulting. Training topics range from a logistical orientation to SECOR processes and role expectations to key consulting skills such as document creation, financial modeling and structured communications.
Office Learning Sessions (Cinq à Sept)
In order to better share intellectual capital within the firm and across offices, the SECOR Consulting team meets periodically throughout the year to discuss key take-aways and best practices from recent mandates, as well as relevant training topics for discussion. These sessions often lead to stimulating discussions that help identify additional opportunities for the firm, related to client, intellectual capital and firm development.
Development Fund
SECOR Consulting understands that we cannot provide specific training on an exhaustive number of topics; however, we want to ensure that all professionals are receiving the training they believe they need. To that end, each professional is provided with an individual “development fund”, a set amount of money that can be used at their own discretion. Individuals may use this fund both to attend desirable classes or training offered outside of SECOR as well as to purchase subscriptions to industry-specific publications.
Career Path
The people at SECOR Consulting are the primary drivers of the value we deliver to clients. As a result, recruiting top talent is a key focus at SECOR Consulting, which we do through on-campus recruiting as well as on an ad-hoc basis throughout the year.
